Under NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) licence restrictions certain wastes, which may be hazardous to human health and/or the environment, may be only disposed of at Kimbriki when special conditions are met.

Asbestos
Asbestos, or fibro sheeting suspected of containing asbestos, brought to Kimbriki for disposal in landfill must meet the following conditions:
- Material must be bagged or wrapped and sealed in heavy duty builders plastic
- Individual packages must be of a manageable size so as to enable you to lift each package from your vehicle and place it in the designated asbestos disposal area
- All asbestos material must be unloaded by hand, no assistance by mechanical equipment or tipping is permitted
- Limit of 1 tonne per visit applies

Insulation Material
Insulation materials including glass fibre, rockwool, ceramic fibre insulation products e.g. insulation batts, brought to Kimbriki for disposal in landfill must meet the following conditions:
- Material must be bagged or wrapped and sealed in heavy duty builders plastic
- Individual packages must be of a manageable size so as to enable you to lift each package from your vehicle and place it in the designated area as directed by staff
- All insulation material must be unloaded by hand, no assistance by mechanical equipment or tipping is permitted

Car Tyres
Car tyres are only accepted at Kimbriki for recycling under the following conditions:
- A limit of 5 tyres will be accepted per customer
- Car tyres only – no truck or tractor tyres will be accepted
- Car tyres are to be placed in the designated bay as directed by staff
- Charges Apply
Kimbriki may supply rimless tyres to customers, free of charge, however an application and approval process applies. Contact us prior to arrival on site to complete the application and approval process. Tyres will not be supplied for use on vehicles.

E-Waste (Electronic Waste)
Electronic waste is accepted at Kimbriki for recycling under the following conditions:
- Residents of Manly, Mosman, Pittwater and Warringah Councils, showing proof of residency, in a car, ute or trailer, may deliver up to 5 items of electronic waste free to Kimbriki. This program is sponsored by the SHOROC councils.
- Charges apply to commercial or non-resident loads, charged by e-waste tonnage rate. Contact us for more information.
- Items must be placed in the designated E-waste area.
The E-waste, or electronic waste, items that are accepted at Kimbriki for recycling are limited to televisions, computers, printers, scanners, DVD/VCR players, modems and games consoles.
E-waste contains chemicals potentially harmful to human health and the environment including lead, mercury, cadmium, beryllium, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chromium, arsenic, antimony and brominated flame retardants (BFRs).
E-waste can be recycled, making use of valuable component materials and diverting this potentially hazardous waste from landfill.
The SHOROC Councils – incorporating Manly, Mosman, Warringah and Pittwater Councils, have banned e-waste from Council’s household waste collections and from being accepted for landfill at Kimbriki. So please deliver to the e-waste recycling area.

Motor Oil
Used motor oil is accepted at Kimbriki for recycling under the following conditions:
- A maximum of 20 litres applies
- Used oil is to be placed in the designated oil bay
- Empty containers no longer required by the customer must be placed in the designated skip bin provided

VENM (Virgin Excavated Natural Material)
VENM is defined by the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) as material consisting of clay, soil and crushed rock which is not contaminated or mixed with any other material. The receipt of VENM at Kimbriki is subject to guidelines as defined by the NSW DECCW.
If excavated from coastal areas the material may contain shells and shell fragments.
Material may not contain grass, concrete, bricks, broken pipes, building material or other foreign matter that you would not expected to find in natural excavated material.
Staff will inspect all loads. If contaminants are found, mixed waste rates will apply.
